Health & safety

Read this before you start.

Be You Fit programs are exercise guidance, not medical care. Before starting any new exercise program, talk with your healthcare provider, especially if you have an injury, a chronic condition, or you are pregnant.

This is draft policy wording for owner and legal review, not final legal advice. Be You Fit does not provide medical advice.

Exercise guidance, not medical care

Everything Be You Fit provides, including quiz results, matched programs, routines, and coach answers, is general fitness guidance. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and no provider-patient relationship is created.

Always check with your own qualified healthcare provider before starting or changing an exercise program, and follow their guidance over anything written here.

Talk to your provider first if any of these apply

  • A current or recurring injury, joint problem, or unresolved pain.
  • A heart, lung, blood-pressure, metabolic, or neurological condition.
  • Pregnancy, recent pregnancy, or postpartum recovery.
  • Recent surgery, hospitalization, or rehabilitation.
  • Any medication that affects how your body responds to exercise.
  • You are unsure whether a given activity is safe for you.

Stop and get help if you notice any of these

  • Chest pain, pressure, or tightness, or pain spreading to the arm, jaw, neck, or back.
  • Severe shortness of breath, dizziness, faintness, or feeling you might pass out.
  • A sudden irregular, fast, or pounding heartbeat.
  • Sharp or sudden pain, or pain that does not ease after you stop.
  • Nausea, cold sweat, or unusual fatigue well beyond the effort you are doing.

Stop the activity right away and get medical attention. If you believe it is an emergency, call your local emergency number.

Assumption of risk

You take part in Be You Fit programs voluntarily. Exercise carries inherent risks, including the risk of injury or, in rare cases, more serious harm. You are responsible for choosing activities appropriate for your own condition, using the modifications offered, pacing yourself, and stopping when something does not feel right.

If a coach is helping you, share anything relevant about your health so they can adjust your guidance. Coaches can only work with what you tell them.

Your health notes stay private

Any health details you add in the My Why flow are stored separately from the rest of your profile and are visible only to you, unless you choose to share them with a coach by joining a coaching tier.

Sharing is always your choice. You can update or remove your notes at any time.

If you are under 18

Be You Fit is intended for adults. If you are under 18, please talk with a parent, guardian, and your healthcare provider before starting, and have them review this policy with you.
